Installio fitted a Vaillant aroTherm 7 kW last February to replace an oil boiler in my 3 bed Bungalow originally built in 1930s with 60's and noughties extensions with an electric Aga which pushes out 28 kW of heat a day in to the kitchen and living room to further complicate the design, and sizing the ASHP to future proof things if the Aga is removed in the future as it is expensive to run. Using the old solar hot water cylinder and changing a couple of radiators, to make the ASHP to work more efficiently, the price was no more expensive than a new boiler, and makes less noise than the old boiler and is cheaper to run even with keeping the same temperature 24 hours a day.

Installio have fitted my ASHP this week and I honestly could not have asked for a better company to carry out this work on our home. The contact with Will regarding the proposal and Rob for the heat loss survey was great, speaking to them both to get the best system installed. The day came to start the install and I met Gavin, Tom and Rhys. These guys were the best install team by far. Exceptional knowledge and attention to detail when completing the install whilst also treating our home like their own. The team constantly kept the space clean and tidy. They also were happy to discuss any queries I had and accommodate any changes that I requested where possible. All in all I am extremely happy with everyone I have dealt with at Installio, and the end product of my ASHP being installed to such a high standard whilst also being incredibly neat! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Installio to anyone as they were simply fantastic!

Their survey work was first-class; they immediately picked up all the potential issues about installing a heat pump in the slightly unorthodox layout of our house, and devised solutions to them very quickly. The installation itself was very smooth; every member of the team was courteous, considerate, efficient and tidy, and they kept us informed throughout about progress. The team have also been patient and clear in educating us in how to adjust the operation of our system to suit our needs, and they have been assiduous in following up on, and resolving the teething problems as the system went into operation. We can't recommend them too highly.

I have an air source heat pump! Getting to the install date wasn't straightforward (speak to UKPower Net about that....) but as I was told; there are no problems, just solutions. From the first meeting I felt comfortable (single, mature person) and well informed. It was refreshing to have team members turn up on scheduled days, on time and carry out the work in a very professional and friendly manner. I felt engaged with the whole process plus they offer post install support. No hesitation in recommending this company.

I am a retired heating engineer and i ran my own company for 37 years so i speak from experience when i recommend this company.Everyone that i spoke to was both knowledgeable and helpful . I will mention in particular Gav, Neil, Tom and Rys as these were the guys who installed the system. They showed the utmost consideration toward my wife who has dementia and requires three carers visits daily. They planed their work so as to cause the least amount of inconvenience and upheaval when the carers visited. They also carried out a very professional neat and tidy installation and i am very happy with the entire operation.

What is the Octopus Cosy Heat Pump?

Octopus Cosy is an air source heat pump system designed for UK homes. It uses electricity to move heat from outside air into your home, providing space heating and hot water more efficiently than a traditional boiler.

What does it mean that Installio is an “Octopus Cosy Accredited Installer” / “Trusted Partner”?

It means Installio has been selected, vetted and monitored by Octopus Energy for safety, quality and customer service, and is approved to install Octopus Cosy systems to Octopus partner standards.

If Octopus referred me to Installio, do I have to use you?

No. If Octopus introduces you to us, there’s no obligation to go ahead with our quote — you’re free to choose any installer.

Who will I be contracting with?

Any installation agreement is between you and Installio. Octopus Energy isn’t a party to the contract and doesn’t supervise work on site.

Do you handle the whole process, or just the install?

We manage the full journey: initial questions, home survey, system design, installation, commissioning, and handover — plus aftercare support.

How do you check whether a Cosy heat pump is right for my home?

We start with a home survey to understand insulation, heat loss, radiators/emitters, and hot water demand. From there we design the system around your property so it’s sized and set up correctly.
