Installio fitted a Vaillant aroTherm 7 kW last February to replace an oil boiler in my 3 bed Bungalow originally built in 1930s with 60's and noughties extensions with an electric Aga which pushes out 28 kW of heat a day in to the kitchen and living room to further complicate the design, and sizing the ASHP to future proof things if the Aga is removed in the future as it is expensive to run. Using the old solar hot water cylinder and changing a couple of radiators, to make the ASHP to work more efficiently, the price was no more expensive than a new boiler, and makes less noise than the old boiler and is cheaper to run even with keeping the same temperature 24 hours a day.

I have an air source heat pump! Getting to the install date wasn't straightforward (speak to UKPower Net about that....) but as I was told; there are no problems, just solutions. I am a retired heating engineer and i ran my own company for 37 years so i speak from experience when i recommend this company.Everyone that i spoke to was both knowledgeable and helpful . I will mention in particular Gav, Neil, Tom and Rys as these were the guys who installed the system. They showed the utmost consideration toward my wife who has dementia and requires three carers visits daily. Their survey work was first-class; they immediately picked up all the potential issues about installing a heat pump in the slightly unorthodox layout of our house, and devised solutions to them very quickly. The installation itself was very smooth; every member of the team was courteous, considerate, efficient and tidy, and they kept us informed throughout about progress. Installio have fitted my ASHP this week and I honestly could not have asked for a better company to carry out this work on our home. The contact with Will regarding the proposal and Rob for the heat loss survey was great, speaking to them both to get the best system installed. The day came to start the install and I met Gavin, Tom and Rhys. These guys were the best install team by far. Exceptional knowledge and attention to detail when completing the install whilst also treating our home like their own. The team constantly kept the space clean and tidy. They also were happy to discuss any queries I had and accommodate any changes that I requested where possible. All in all I am extremely happy with everyone I have dealt with at Installio, and the end product of my ASHP being installed to such a high standard whilst also being incredibly neat! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Installio to anyone as they were simply fantastic!

Craig designed a large and sophisticated heat-pump system with a huge hot water storage facility. His Installio team worked hard and to a high standard. They actually finished ahead of schedule. The installation required floorboards to be lifted in every upstairs room. Crucially, we and they managed to live and work beside each other without any problems. Who are Installio?

At Installio, we’re the heat-pump and clean energy tech specialists. We set the standard for installations by combining decades of on-the-tools experience with expert engineering and innovative digital tools meaning every system is designed, fitted, and commissioned to perform flawlessly.

How are Heat Pumps better for the environment?

Heat pumps are a much greener and more efficient alternative to traditional gas boilers. While boilers burn fossil fuels and release carbon dioxide and other pollutants, heat pumps use electricity (which can come from renewable sources like wind or solar) to extract heat from the air, making them far cleaner and more sustainable.

They are also far more efficient, typically delivering around four times the energy they consume. Heat pumps produce no onsite emissions, avoid pollutants like carbon monoxide or nitrogen dioxide, and now use low-GWP refrigerants that align with climate targets. Altogether, they offer a future-proof, environmentally friendly way to heat your home.

What are the minimum requirements for getting a heat pump installed my home?

Most homes qualify for a heat pump. You primarily need two things:

1. Outdoor Space: Enough room for the heat pump unit, typically with about 1 metre of clearance for airflow (and away from windows/doors).

2. Indoor Space: A suitable location for a hot water cylinder (often a utility cupboard).

What is the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) Grant

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a government grant of up to £7,500 towards replacing a fossil fuel boiler with a low-carbon heat pump. It’s available to homeowners in England and Wales and is automatically handled by us when you proceed with your installation meaning we cover the paperwork.

How do you estimate the cost of a Heat Pump Installation?

Our technical heating expert will start by reviewing your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) and other energy data specific to your home. By leveraging our deep knowledge and this information, we can precisely estimate the power your heat pump requires to keep your home warm, even in the coldest weather, and provide you with a reliable installation cost estimate.

How long does it take to install a heat pump?

Generally from upgrade to commissioning, it can take around 3-5 working days. This depends on the size of the home, if any pipework or radiators need changing. You can discuss your specific timescales with your Installer.
